Late last night a few users started reporting seeing an empty mailbox where mail could be sent/received but older mail was missing from their mailbox.
We understand that this can be alarming but users in this state have not lost their old email. We are currently working to restore the older mail to the affected users and will provide another update on progress in the next couple of hours. Other unaffected users may experience some delays in email delivery.
We apologize for the inconvenience and are working diligently on the issue.

After 6 hours OWA working but I lost 99,99% my posts from inbox :O
Same problem with my account. I have lost all my e-mails...
I'm still not back but what I did is to tell my outlook not to connect and exported the whole inbox to a pst file so that I can restore it once the system comes back alive.
Its still down. Can't get on via the web client, or through thunderbird. Been trying to send an important email for over... 4 hours now. Sleep would've been nice tonight
same to my two domains. I'm expecting an ETA eagerly.
My domains (chinacpn.org and xianshan.org) are working now. Thanks dude!
But not sure if any mail lost during the day while service is down. Hope none.

do you know ost2pst software working with Outlook 2010 (ost)?
for me the same over 3GB of email left... hope by Exchange Inbox will be recovered...
Just made a test. I can send mail from Outlook Live! to gmail, but can't receive the reply from Gmail.

The best suggestion would be to start Outlook 2010, click Work Offline, and then either Archive everything, or create a new .PST file and copy your entire profile into it.
